The idea behind The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle was first conjured up by Seb when he was studying his MA in Animation in 2008. From there, Rumpus have designed and developed him into their first in-house point and click adventure game, releasing Episode 1 in December 2014.
Working with a creative team consisting of programmers, animators, designers and background artists, as well as the vast selection of voice over artists, The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle went on to win the “Best Narrative” award at the Tokyo Indie Fest 2015 and was featured in The Guardian. The team was then brought back, albeit a little bigger, to begin work on Episode 2 which is currently in production.
Producing our own in-house game has allowed us to experience more creative freedom, developing our own passions and ideas into a medium that allows us to interact with our audience. The whole process has been a brilliant learning experience for the whole team and Episode 2 is on its way to being even bigger and better!
