Viva!
Dishy Dating
The Brief
We were really chuffed to work with the UK’s leading campaigning Vegan charity, Bristol based Viva! Local clients are always a treat, face to face creative meetings over a cup of tea are golden!
The Food and Lifestyle team wanted to launch V7, a new vegan meal planner, with a tongue and cheek animation. The concept was to show dating app profiles featuring sad, pretty rancid and tired food, disrupted by the fresh and tasty V7 offering aka THE ONE. As Vegans in Your Region fans, we were incredibly excited that Lou Sanders was confirmed for the voice over.
How We Did It
Viva’s concept was really fun, we took it to the next phase and worked up a full creative strategy, which included script edits and design proposals at two different budget levels. Once we had an established benchmark, we made an animatic and brought to life the brand mascot we proposed for the fictitious dating app. After a few characterful foody sketch experiments, we settled on an aubergine with bags of bravado.
Once the animatic was locked, we launched ourselves into dating app research mode to perfect our UI design and animation for Dishy Dating. Finding the sad food stock photos was a chore, there are some really disgusting plates of food out there. Viva provided us with videos of their delicious V7 recipes to add to the irresistible profile.
How Did We Do
It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Rumpus, where nothing has seemed too much trouble. We approached them with an ambitious idea for a humorous meal plan animation, without a clear vision of how to make it work. They quickly understood the concept and brought it to life in a quirky, imaginative way that exceeded our expectations. We’re absolutely delighted with the end result and couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out and we can’t wait to share it with our supporters.
