In spring 2025 we partnered with Big Thursday Creative and Brainbug on a release trailer for the very exciting open-world survival crafting game RuneScape: Dragonwilds. The Jagex Dragonwilds team wanted to capture a watercolour journal feel.
How We Did It
The amazing team at Brainbug Design produced beautiful paintings with real watercolour textures for each scene which we brought to life through parallax animation, ink reveals and blooms. We used a book mockup to guide the camera across and through the journal entries, making the illustrations jump from the pages with colour and animation.
How Did We Do
Rumpus are my go to team for support with 2D projects. They are always friendly, flexible and reliable. This project was no different. Under tricky time constraints, Rumpus delivered on time and on budget, to a high benchmark. Thanks for your help!
