The Project
In 2024 our Creative Director Joe Wood, joined Turnip + Duck and Sun & Moon Studios on the first ever Maddie + Triggs series for Cbeebies, stories about a girl and her doggy who find music and adventure in the sounds of the everyday.
Maddie + Triggs is built on the principle: “If two kids, one sighted and one vision-impaired, sit down side by side to ‘watch’ the show, neither will have a lesser experience.”
The series won FOUR awards at the Irish Animation Awards 2025 – Best Animated Preschool Series, Best Original Song, Best New IP and Best Innovation Awards.
Joe had loads of fun leading a small team in producing 52 animatics for the show. Each episode features a brilliant song, here’s just a few of his favourite animatic to final animation musical sections.
