The Project

We really love the characters and worlds in the new Threads of Time console game, producing animated trailer sections for our REALTIME pals was a joy! In the game 2.5D pixel art characters travel the ages, the trailer sees the characters travel from the early prehistoric era to a far apocalyptic future.

It was our job to bring four of the character designs into an anime style, alongside the environments and FX.

How Did We Do

I worked with the team on a project where we were tasked with creating multiple shots for character and world introductions.

The team were fantastic at translating the clients requirements and existing art into hand drawn assets and animation that had it’s own unique style, but fit into the wider world the client was looking to create.

The team they had put together were responsive, reacted to feedback well, and even offered proactive solutions to some challenging late changes we were faced with.

Throughout all of this I was kept up to date with clear communication, updated timescales, and most importantly good humour throughout.

Can’t wait to have the opportunity to work with Rumpus again on another project!
